Item Description
An attractive cabinet specimen from the ancient Hilarion Mine in Lavrion, Greece featuring tiny "sprays" of Devilline, along with more saturated blue Adamite crystals on a layered matrix. Both the Devilline and Adamite get their blue color from copper content. There are also a few colorless, GEMMY "sword"-shaped crystals of Gypsum on the upper portion of the specimen for a nice touch. The piece is best viewed under magnification, and we've photographed it with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. Please note that this specimen was originally labeled as Smithsonite, but one of our users was kind enough to point out that the info was not correct, and helped us with the correct ID.
