Item Description
Devilline is a rare hydrated calcium copper sulfate, most famously found at the old Spania Dolina locality (formerly Herrengrund) in Slovakia. This particular specimen is from the famous Hilarion Mine of Laurion, Greece and is only one of a handful that I've ever seen. A coverage of semi-spherical, soft greenish-blue colored Devilline sits atop a gossan matrix with minor associated acicular green Malachite along with a minor amount of "waxy" Gibbsite according to the label. If you collect rare secondary ore minerals or species from Laurion, do not miss out on this one. The piece comes with a classic old hand-written label from Scott Williams along with another label from Keith Williams (no relation).
