Devilline (formerly "Herrengrundite") (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Devilline is among the classic European copper minerals, and the finest of these specimens are from Spania Dolina. This locality (formerly called Herrengrund) form platy "rosettes" as is the case with this beautiful specimen. This piece is a nice specimen of Devilline hosting beautiful emerald-green micro crystals of Devilline on matrix. These specimens are next to impossible to obtain on the market these days, and they are highly sought after by European collectors. Please note that the color of the crystals is not exactly as they appear in person, but like several copper minerals, it is difficult to accurately reproduce this unique green color in the photos. The piece is decorated with little tags and numbers from old collections.
