The finest crystallized specimens of Descloizite in the world are those from the famous Berg Aukus Mine. These world-renowned pieces are superior both in their crystallization and often size. These pieces have set the standard of excellence for this zinc analogue of Mottramite. It is because of Berg Aukus that we know how good Descloizite crystals can actually get. This thumbnail sized piece features some of the best individual crystals I've seen from the locality in terms of form. They are notably sharp and distinct, with an elongated pseudo-rhombic shape (more of a wide "spearhead" shape) measuring up to 6 mm, which a very dark brown hue. They are lustrous on select faces, which are smooth and beautiful to view up close. No real damage that I can find, outside of the base where the piece was removed from the pocket wall.
