The famous Berg Aukas Mine of Namibia has produced the worlds finest descloizite specimens and this is an excellent specimen. The sculptural, 3-dimensional crust is covered with lustrous, striated, metallic-gray with a few rust-brown decloizite crystals. This fine piece is a highly representative example of the species and famous locality, which closed in 1978. Showy material from the Rob Smith Collection.
