Item Description
Intergrown silvery lustre wedge-shaped Descloizite crystals form a striking elongated spearpoint with barbs on the sides from the famous Berg Aukas Mine of Namibia. Berg Aukas has easily produced the world's finest examples of the species, the zinc analogue of Mottramite. Pristine, except for the attachment at the narrow end. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. This very fine piece is a super representative example of the species and famous locality, which closed in 1978.
