The Berg Aukas Mine of Namibia has produced the worlds finest descloizite specimens and this is an outstanding, two-sided, specimen. This excellent piece consists of clusters of sharp, sub-parallel, spearpoints. The crystals on the front are highly lustrous, metallic blackish-brown and some crystals have nifty iridescence! The crystals on the back of this super, two-sided piece are lustrous, chocolate-brown with a druse of brick-red hematite and tiny calcite rhombs. The aesthetics are excellent, with the largest, iridescent crystals being at the top. The front is pristine. Nearly pristine, with only a small contact at one end and a broken crystal on the back. This fine piece is a very highly representative example of the species and famous locality, which closed in 1978. Valued at $750 for quality in this size range
