Item Description
Quartz and its many varieties are easily the most "inclusion friendly" gems out there. The word Dendritic comes from the Greek word "dendros" meaning tree, as the inclusions in Dendritic Quartz typically resemble plant life. This stone is what is known as Dendritic Agate (a variety of Quartz) with inclusions of what is most likely either manganese oxide or iron oxide. The stone has a very lovely soft silvery-lilac to white coloring which combined with the inclusions, make for a beautiful two-tone color arrangement. The stone was difficult to photograph, but it really is beautiful up close. It has a "flattened round" cut, and is one of the few gems of this material that I have encountered from Kazakhstan. Enjoy.
