Item Description

Decrespignyite-(Y) is an ultra-rare hydrated Cu-REE carbonate and is unique to this obscure, extinct, small copper mine. Pretty powder-blue crusts richly cover all sides of the matrix. Tiny, white spherules of kamphaugite-(Y), a rare hydrated Ca-REE-carbonate are also scattered on the piece. Uncommon and rich combination material of these very rare species from the South Australian Museum and Matioli Collections.
