Item Description
Long, slender tabular crystal of the carbonate Dawsonite. The luster and gemminess are good, and this is very well developed for this habit, where the crystals are more often measured with mm. From the famous locality of Mont Saint Hilaire, which is not far from the type locality on the campus of McGill University in Montreal, where Dawson was actually a professor. Last purchased for $295 in the mid 1990s.
