Datolite with Hematite (ex Brian Kosnar collection)

Item Description

The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been a seldom collected quarry for years, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species. This piece features no Zeolites, but it hosts sharp, and HIGHLY lustrous lovely "water green" color crystals of Datolite. The crystals have great form along with good gemminess. The Datolites are studded with tiny Hematite "roses". One does not see Datolite of this quality from many localities. A worthwhile small "hand" sized specimen. A good example of this classic Trap Rock material.
