Datolite w/ Apophyllite & Chalcopyrite (rare)

Item Description

Sparkly microcrystalline apophyllite crystals look like sugar richly sprinkled on the aesthetic and rich large plate of sharp datolite prisms from a recent find at the famous mines of Charcas. The lustrous and translucent datolites have mostly yellowish-green bodies with pretty blue termination areas. The datolites are up to 2.6 cm long and some are doubly terminated. A RARE accessory is the 1.0 cm sharp, tetragonal, golden chalcopyrite tucked between datolites. Pristine, except for a modest bit of periphery wear, which certainly has only minimal impact to this fine specimen.
