Item Description

This pair of specimens came originally from the noted collection of New Jersey collector, Pat Gross. The pieces are identified as being "Botryolite", which is a botryoidal variety of Datolite. Each specime hosts a few micro whitish "balls" of "Botryolite" which are sitting on small, bright yellow, bladed crystals of Axinite-(Mn). These are the only pieces of this material that I have handled, and would certainly make a great addition to any micro collection, or a suite of minerals from Franklin. Both pieces are accompanied by Pat Gross's hand-written collection box, which states that the "Botryolite" was identified by D. K. Cook. The specimens came to Rich Kosnar in the early 1990s.
