Datolite specimens are EXTREMELY RARE from this old Paterson traprock basalt quarry that closed in 1891! Specimens of any type are rare and are seldom on the market. Very glassy, translucent, pretty mint-green, well-formed datolite crystals fill the vug in sculptural matrix. From an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old, faded, torn and water-worn label. A MUST for the locality or species collector. A very fine and rare old-timer.
