Datolite is not often seen in faceted gems. Before the Russian material hit the market, virtually all Datolite gems were cabochons. It is very hard to find any stones of this material from New Jersey these days. This paricular stone is a bright, very slightly included, colorless "Trillion" cut gem of this extremely rare material from the historic Prospect Park Quarry in New Jersey.
