Item Description
A classic example of the porcelain-like datolite nodules so beloved among collectors of Michigan and the Midwest. Often, these were carved by the miners. Pure white examples in this size are rare. This is a fine quality, a large size, and undamaged. It was in the notable Midwest/Michigan/Ohio suite of collector Bob Nowakowski, and was valued $1000 at the time we purchased much of that collection a decade ago. 480 grams (over a pound in weight!)
