Item Description
A showy and excellent sawed and polished datolite nodule pair from Michigan"s Copper Country. The slices have high luster, a nice porcelaneous texture and the yellow interior and red around the rind are the result of copper inclusions. Yellow and red are THE most desirable colors for Michigan datolite nodules. Quality is off the charts for this rare varietal! Size given is for largest shown. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. NOTE THIS WAS ORIGINALLY LABELED AS DELAWARE MINE, BUT HIS LABEL CONFIRMS MESNARD MINE ORIGIN
