Datolite nodule included by Copper

Item Description

A showy and excellent sawed and polished datolite nodule from Michigan's famous Copper Country. The polished front has high luster, a nice porcelain texture and, especially interesting, you can see dendrites of native copper with a bright patina clearly visible within the translucent nodule. Visible native copper is a desirable variety for Michigan datolite nodules. Although small, the quality is excellent on this little nodule recovered from the floor of Lake Superior.
