Item Description

Dalnegorsk is a remote locality in far eastern Russia, but it's also one of the great specimens producers in the last few decades. This area has provided collectors with a slew of fine quality crystallized display specimens, including what are arguably the best Datolites ever found. This piece is a wonderful small cabinet display specimen featuring superb, sharp, glassy, gemmy, soft green colored, blocky monoclinic crystals measuring up to 2.3 cm, free of matrix. The crystals are in excellent condition, with no damage on the front/display side. Hard to show the quality in a video or a photos, but this is a really good example of this older (this piece probably dates back to the 1990s) material, seldom seen in today's market.
