Datolite

Item Description

The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been a seldom collected quarry for years, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species. This piece features no Zeolites, but it hosts sharp, lovely "water green" color crystals of Datolite measuring up to 7 mm. The crystals have good form along with decent gemminess in areas. Additionally, there a small but beautiful metallic golden Chalcopyrite crystal near the center. One does not see Datolite of this quality from many localities. A worthwhile small cabinet sized specimen. A good example of this classic Trap Rock material.
