Datolite

These datolites are just amazingly gemmy, like a water-clear quartz or calcite - which is NOT typical for the species and makes this mini stand out. They are pretty light seafoam-green to colorless and look just like ice. Datolites are more commonly equidimensional, so these complex tabular crystals are very attractive and unusual. The largest crystal is 2.0 cm. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! Very difficult to photograph. It looks great from either side.
