Item Description
This Trap Rock locality is one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) Zeolite localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This particular specimen is an attractive display piece consisting of blocky, somewhat gemmy, light green, crystals of Datolite with Heulandite on matrix. The largest Datolite crystal measures 1.1 cm across, which is good sized for the locality. This is a nice Datolite for New Jersey. Recently collected in the Park, and certainly among the last specimens that will come out of the quarry, since it's very close to the end.
