Danburite with Calcite

Big crystals of Danburite are a Charcas and Mexican classic. This specimen is supremely glassy, well-striated with a textbook, chisel termination. Internally it's remarkably gemmy near the termination. Really good quality and size for the species and the locality. This piece came to us from an old East Coast collection with a classic old label from legendary mineral dealer, the recently deceased Larry Conklin. The piece also comes with a label from Bentley's Minerals in Connecticut. A great old time Charcas Danburite that would make a fine addition to any collection.
