Danburite with Calcite

Item Description

Water-clear, gem Danburites are a Charcas and Mexican classic. The crystal on this specimen is supremely glassy, well-striated with a textbook, chisel termination. It's nearly water-clear in areas, but mostly translucent. It is studded with fairly lusrous and translucent, complex Calcite rhombs on one face and side are a real compliment. The upper portion of the terminations of the Danburite does have a nick, but overall in great shape. Really good quality and size for the species and the locality.
