Danburite with Calcite

Item Description

A large number of the Danburite specimens you'll see from Charcas are typically single crystals, free of matrix or associations, so this is a rarely seen association/matrix specimen featuring GEM quality, glassy, very pale pink colored, prismatic crystals associated with translucent, colorless, robust scalenohedral crystals of Calcite (some of which are doubly-terminated) on virtually all sides. The Danburites are very attractive up close, and show some slight surface etching for a nice touch. No major damage I can find. A very attractive and hard to find combo/matrix piece of this classic material.
