Item Description

Chalcopyrite is RARE from any of the well-known mines at Charcas, famous for world-class danburite specimens. This impresssive, 360-degree radial "pineapple" of glassy, transparent to tranlucent danburite prisms, to 2.8 cm, is pepperd with sharp, golden metallic to coated chalcopyrite sphenoids. Nearly pristine, for all of the crystal density. The interior appears to be pristine and the bit of noted periphery wear has very minimal impact to the overall high quality of this fine combination rarity. RARE, old-time material from the M.M. Groben Collection and a September, 1960 date on the label on the botttom of the piece.
