Item Description

A VERY RARE and amazing combination from the famous polymetallic skarn deposits at Charcas. Frosted danburite blades are dramaticially set on starkly contrasting large intergrown, lustrous, jet-black twinned sphalerite crystals. The otherworldly danburites reach 4.3 cm and have classic textbook chisel terminations. Charcas is a world-class danburite locality, BUT danburite and sphalerite combinations of this superb quality are extremely rare! Exceptional 360-degree material from the Dave Stoudt Mexico Collection. Every turn presents a dramatically different perspective. Labels with the piece say Guanajuato, but this is incorrect. MINDAT lists no Danburite from the historic silver mines there. NOTE: We prefer to hand deliver this superb and rare combination specimen to preserve the integrity. Value??
