Danburite is one of those gems that isn't often seen in today's market. It is a hard and durable stone which makes it great for jewelry. It is not an extremely rare gem, but it not often seen in larger stones like this one. This particular gem is a good size, bright, VSI, very well cut "Modified Cut Corner Trillion Brilliant" stone. This is a beautiful Danburite and a very attractive. The material is somewhat hard to find in today's market, especially in custom cut gems.
