Danburite

Without a doubt, the best crystallized examples of Danburite come from Charcas, Mexico. Although Danburite is not considered to be a rare species, there aren't a lot of localities around the world where fine crystals are found. The best crystals from Charcas are large, often water-clear with high luster and are truly classics from Mexico. This specimen is a sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, single prism with a VERY pale pink hue. There's a tiny bit of edge wear, but no major damage. A lovely example of these world-class Danburites.
