Item Description

Gemmy Danburite crystals from Charcas are a Mexican classic. These are truly the largest and finest Danburites from any world locality. This specimen is quite glassy, well-formed, beautifully striated with a textbook, chisel termination and a pale pink color. The termination is pristine, but the prism and base of the crystal are contacted or show separation marks where it was removed from the pocket wall. Really good quality and size for the species and the locality. The top most portion of the crystal is incredibly gemmy. These might be common on the market, buy they are truly the best Danburites around, and I think any worldwide collection should have a good example of these pieces in it.
