Item Description
There is no argument that the best crystallized examples of Danburite are found at Charcas, Mexico. With that said, Danburite is not considered to be a rare species, but there truly aren't a lot of localities around the world where fine crystals are found. The best crystals from Charcas are large, often water-clear with high luster and are truly classics from Mexico. This specimen features an aesthetic group a sharp, well-formed, lustrous, translucent, prisms of Danburite, free of matrix. The crystals are a VERY pale pink color, and virtually colorless unless you look at them against a stark black background. No real damage that I can find anywhere. A lovely example of these world-class Danburites. From the collection of Bill (Burma Bill) Larson, the owner of Pala Gems & Minerals of Fallbrook, California.
