Item Description

Partially embedded in massive ore are slender prisms, to 2 cm in length, of splendent, bright, metallic silver colored crystals of cylindrite, an uncommon lead, tin, antimony, iron sulfide. This piece has very robust crystals. Notably, this is the only mineral species with CYLINDRICAL crystallization! So far as I am aware, it Only comes from this one old mine. This is a particularly nice display piece, for balance and size. It just is what it is - weird! Normally such specimens of this size and richness, if found at all in old collections, sell for $1000-2000 range
