Cyclic-twinned Cerussite w/ Smithsonite (old classic)

Broken Hill cerussites are an Australian and worldwide classic. This sculptural and very stout cyclically-twinned crystal has interesting frosted faces. Attached to one side or the base are stepped-growth clusters of glassy, gray, flattened smithsonite rhombs. For such an impressive old-timer, the several spots of modest edge wear are very minimally detracting. That's blue tack on the back side. A fine and uncommon combination piece from this historic locale. The old Sydney Museum label dates to around 1900.
