Item Description
This is just a fabulous large cerussite crystal. It is, as you can see, very GEMMY, and has this wonderful smoky color. These intergrown, cyclic-twinned crystals are extremely complex in structure. The dominating, 5.8 cm crystal in the middle is doubly terminated. All over its surface are small faces with glassy luster, in pretty ridges and rows. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. A trivial bit of edge wear is noted to the large crystal. Most of the back is crystallized, is nearly pristine and has embedded barite blades. The curving ridge across the center is the attachment point. What is amazing is how much of it is crystal faces, even on the back! Exceptional! Valued at $1500-2000. Heavy lead at 475 grams or just over a pound.
