Item Description

This is an incredibly hard to find, and notably RICH specimen of Cyanotrichite from the Mex-Tex Mine in Bingham, New Mexico. It's different from the better-known examples from the Blanchard Mine in terms of form and color. The piece comes from the collection of Colin Manlove, and the attached label says it was acquired from Chris Wright (Wright's Rock Shop in 2003). It's loaded with fine quality, intense blue colored, acicular / fibrous crystals which cover a large percentage of the underlying matrix. This is unquestionably the richest example we've ever seen from this locality, and if you collect minerals of New Mexico, this is something that is incredibly hard to find, and we don't have another one, so don't miss out.
