Cyanotrichite on Brochantite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A hard to find specimen from the Atacamite Desert featuring attractive acicular "sprays" of blue-green colored Cyanotrichite on green Brochantite on matrix. These specimens came out years ago, and are certainly rare on the market today. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. The Cyanotrichite shows more a green hue than the typical blue color that we're used to seeing, but there is a spot on the back where blue needles can be seen transitioning into the green color.
