Cyanotrichite (excellent)

Item Description

Cyanotrichite is an uncommon copper sulfate found in the oxidation zone of copper ore bodies. This rich and very colorful large specimen is covered with tiny, acicular, radiating, powder-blue to royal-blue cyanotrichite needles on contrasting green malachite on gossan matrix. This fine, old piece is from the Maid of Sunshine Mine of Arizona. Uncommon in this quality and size.
