Item Description

This item is part of a special benefit auction for the Rice Museum of Rocks & Minerals (ricenorthwestmuseum.org). Items are either deaccessions from the museum's collection or were donated by generous supporters listed below.

Auction open April 1, 2021 through April 17, 2021.

Billing for this auction will occur on Monday, April 19, for payment using PayPal or credit card. Shipping will be billed at cost, or please contact brandy@mineralauctions.com if you'd like to plan on picking up items at future shows or during a stop through Dallas.

Custom 14x20 oil on copper. $950 value framed and shipped! Provide a photo for inspiration, and Susan Renee Lammers will translate your memory into a beautiful original artwork.

Why Copper?  The Dutch masters painted on copper because it was Leonardo Di Vinci who did studies on different painting substrates and determined copper was the most archival.  Copper and oil paint have the same heat constant.  When temperatures fluctuate the copper and oil paint move together.  The perfect marriage!  The results are no cracking, no mildew or mold, and more value and color stability!

Oil paintings on copper are perfect for extreme temperature humid environments.
