Item Description

Matrix stibnites have always been rare and desirable from the Wuling Mine of China. The striking matrix specimen from a New Find features two wide, intergrown, parallel-growth, clusters of splendent, beautifully striated, stainless steel-gray stibnite blades. Many of the blades at the distinct junction are lightly curved. The upper, angled cluster is very dramatic from the side. Complete all-around, the terminations appear to have been mildly contacted against the roof of the vug, but are most certainly a very modest detraction to the overall impact of this impressive piece. Seldom will you see a Wuling stibnite, let alone a matrix specimen, with this very unusual and showy habit.
