Item Description

This is a rarity with pizzazz, and an intensity of color saturation rarely seen in the species or the whole mineral world. It is a classic old Tsumeb piece, probably from the 1960s-1970s era of mining. Aesthetically emplaced on matrix is a cluster of well formed, lustrous and translucent, deep emerald-green colored adamite crystals, to 1 cm in length. This is cuprian adamite: the uncommon, copper rich member of the adamite group. These crystals are as richly colored as any I have seen from Tsumeb. Absolutely marvelous miniature! Valued $2000
