Gem, deep cherry-red, cuprite microcrystals sparkle under any light on this showy and excellent combination miniature from the famous Ray Mine. A pod of orangey, fibrous, cuprite variety chalcotrichite caps the layered matrix of native copper, which is richly covered with complimentary, brick-red, copper or iron oxides. Ex Harold Urish Collection and acquired in February, 1997.
