Cuprite with Malachite

Item Description

This attractive specimen features a very sharp 6.5 mm crystal of Cuprite from the premier locality in Congo. The deep red, razor-sharp crystal is associated with fibrous, rich green color Malachite aong very pale blue-green Chrysocolla on matrix. When backlit, the predominant, well-formed Cuprite octahedron shows the classic blood red color for which Cuprite is known. A beautiful specimen of this classic and somewhat hard to find material.
