Item Description

This attractive specimen features a few very sharp and VERY lustrous crystals of octahedral metallic Cuprite from the premier locality in Congo. The deep red, razor-sharp crystal are associated with very pale blue-green Chrysocolla and white Calcite on matrix. The largest Cuprite measures 8 mm, and when backlit, the predominant, well-formed Cuprite octahedron shows the classic blood red color for which Cuprite is known. A beautiful specimen of this classic and somewhat hard to find material.
