Item Description

Sharp, splendent, dark wine-red cuprite crystals to about 9 mm solidly comprise this sculptural specimen from this well-known Bisbee mine. The bit of copper near the tip is a nice accent. This mine operated from 1902 to 1950. Specimens of any species are uncommon from here and cuprites of this richness and quality are rare. The piece definitely has a biomorphic look to it.
