Fine filagrees of dentritic copper selectively coat the metallic wine-red cuprite crystals on the sculptural columnar and vuggy crest of this imposing, rich specimen of solid granular cuprite from Tsumeb. Sharp modified octahedrons, to 1.0 cm, are scattered on the front of this showy combination and most of them glow with cherry-red color under bright light. Choice and very rich Tsumeb Cuprite and Copper ore from the Shields Flynn Collection and illustrated on Page 34 of his 2018 self-published book, Minerals of Namibia - From the Collection of Shields and Frances Flynn. Hefty copper ore at 449 grams mass. Valued by the former dealer at $900. It is worth more today.
