All of the Calcite crystals in the central portion of this piece are richly included by red needles of Chalcotrichite with a large botryoid of green Malachite strategically placed in the center. The Calcite rhombohedra are completely filled with fine, bright red, hair-like crystals of Chalcotrichite. Chalcotrichite is an uncommon variety of Cuprite consisting of thin fibrous sprays or acicular crystals that stand alone or include other minerals like Calcite or Cerussite, commonly. The combination of white Calcite, red, Chalcotrichite included and green velvety Malachite makes for a colorful and contrasting miniature! Unique !
