Item Description

A vivid specimen covered with scintillating, red needles of this variety of cuprite. This is certainly an old piece, probably pre-1950s, and is an extremely rich example for both the species and famous locality. This piece has large patches of the acicular cuprite crystals all over it. There are veins of cuprite running through the matrix. Ex Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. The old handwritten label from the 1950s to early 70s has a $500 price! VERY expensive and very highly prized in those days!! Hefty for its size.
