Item Description

A rare and rich old-time specimen from this famous Cornwall mine. Sparkly needles and hairs of bright brick-red chalcotrichite richly fill several attractively set vugs in sulfide and quartz matrix with an unidentified pastel-green copper oxide. Seldom available in this richness and quality from this locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection, whose label states this piece came with an "Old beautifully hand-printed label states this is a R. Talling specimen, c. 1858, from the "190 fathom level."
