Item Description

A somewhat sculptural specimen of arborscent Copper has completely altereed to bright red Chalcotrichite (a variety of Cuprite) micro-needles from the Ray Mine. Classic and excellent material from this noted Arizona locale. We have photographed the crystals with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7165). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
