Item Description
A lovely old specimen of the beautiful Cuprite (var: Chalcotrichite) that came from the well-known Cole Shaft in Bisbee. The piece hosts brilliant metallic glowing red Cuprite (some of which is fibrous enough to call Chalcotrichite) with associated Native Copper on oxidized matrix. It's fun to look at the piece with a loupe or even better under the microscope,. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1957). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
